I had a wild dream last night about FPV. I dreamt that I could deliver pizzas using a Quadcopter and FPV. The pizzas would be carried in a tray underneath the quad. The customer would pay online or over the phone by credit card and the quad would fly to your house and land in the yard. This would make a great TV commercial. I could also see courier services using something like this. What other ideas do people have? This is a wide open market.

better to use a hot-air blimp! ..keep the pizza warm.. your quadcopter's wash would deliver it cold dude...

No, the pizza would be in one of those insulated bags.

Other people have suggested things like taco delivery services. Until the FAA gets out of the way it's kind of a mute point though.

It would be chaos and the streets would be lined with crashed multi's and nerds walking the streets trying to find their beloved multis mutering things like "man, why did i ever take that damn job in the first place, i had better luck filming trees and inanimate objects and i was fine with that"

Yeah, I think it would be all good until someone throws a net over your copter and makes off with it.

True, in a large city with a lot of quads, it wouldn't work without a lot of regulation. But in a small town with a good customer base it could work.

So, if we do a preliminary sum-up, what we now know is:

1. The pizza idea is taken. => Bad, but not necessarily a show-stopper.
2. Hot air balloon might be an alternative method for delivery.
3. Alternative ideas for goods to deliver have been launched: fish-burgers and cannabis => hopefully the legal/medical variant of- ? (With regard to cannabis. Fish-burgers are probably safe).
4. Interception is to be anticipated. => Mitigation needed.
5. Suburbs and large cities are to be avoided. => Chaos, streets lined with crashed multi's, muttering nerds trying to find their beloved multi's, and, lot's of regulations. => Small towns with a good customer base are to be preferred.
7. Specific routes designated to low level UAF traffic is not too far off.

They're all medicinal, and we're innocent until proven guilty. So no worries, just clean your finger prints off of the quad before taking off, and take off from a remote location.
