I suggest taking a table with 9 meanings for different angles: -40, -20, -10, -5, 0, +5, +10, +20, +40 degrees. So user has to skew the gear frame to the indicated angle and choose the meaning of compensation signal for each position. Program makes a more precise compensation graphic based on the chosen meanings. This function could be as a separate menu point “Exact settings”

3. Produce own external MEMS gyros, which are attached to NAZA controller. That is two little sensors with flexible wires of necessary length set on the gimbals axels. In this case servos are attached directly to controller avoiding using extra gyros.

Your point 2) I have implemented by myself using external arduino connected between Naza and gyros. Was not worth the effort, the output was not much better (I did software that measured a few points in the interval and created a 3rd order polynomial to compensate the shift).
But anyway, it could be interesting option to play with

Gonna have to re-read that a few times. One other note on APM is that there are also several spare inputs/outputs and it is open source. I haven't tapped into the code yet but a mod like you describe could potentially make it into the official build by your own specification.

Has now and I can confirm the Mystery G105 is the same as the E-Tech G105 inside. Hooked it up and I've got servo tester gain on max and no twitching, so looks promising, but as I've learned it's one thing to look good in your hands, another out there in the wind. Test flights to follow when I get a free moment.

thanks nycewheels .. yes the next day i had accident with x8 . so my Ecilop broked and my nex 5n 2 ..

Does anyone know if the naza controller will work better if it's placed in center of the frame?
Now i have mounted it on the side of the frame, and it seems like there is more gain to one side than the other on the camera gimbal.
Anyone noticed the same?

I just modified my ecilop.
Instead of the naza on one side, now it is centered.

Will test in some days.

ecilop,,, original design, proven works, very good build quality.

others all clones. aleksey has done all the hard work and design to come up with this concept, and has put the time into it to make it right.
the others are still all playing catchup, and everyone of them is still missing a crucial part of the concept.

its the same with anything. why is a Tmotor more expensive than a sunnysky?

Ecilop is still the best one.

Well, I've started from scratch so have had to buy everything including TX/RX. The frame counted for only about 25% of total cost so it wasn't really an issue.

I like the idea of supporting the innovator rather than the copier.

1) Clones start to look more expensive if you have to trash them or buy another frame because you can't get spare parts after a crash or something wears out.

2) I had a minor issue with a component in the Ecliop kit. I emailed with a photo. Next day an apology and despatch details for the new part. 1 week later I have the new part in New Zealand.

Standard response in China is send us the faulty part - then usually nothing happens - then a series of unanswered emails - then if you push you get the replacement after you pay for freight. You get what you pay for in the end.
