Hello all!

What is your best advice for someone attending Watts for the first time? And what is your favorite part of the event?

I can't wait to see the responses!

I was at Watts last year for the first time and had a ball! If you have never been to a big fly in you really need to make the effort. The flying is always great, you meet a lot of new people with your same interests and it was really neat to meet some of the vendors and get to see and fly some of their airplanes. My advice would be to plan to come and expect a good time!

My advice is to bring a plane you can fly in almost any condition and not just a hangar queen. It will give you a better chance to do some flying if the weather doesn't cooperate. Bring plenty of water and a camera!

This is a big fun event. Good folks ,good fly'n and good food.. Have attended many E-Flys around the country, SEFF, NEAT, Arizona E-Fly,etc and this event in Owatonna is as good as it gets. Much closer too.

My advice would be come with a plane your comfortable with. We have a big field to fly at so don't worry about being boxed it. Bring a shade tent and a chair to relax in but get to know your neighbors. One of the best things about these events is making new friends and meeting up with old ones. Grab a spotter when you go to fly. They can help you know whats going on and help give you any advice you need. If you don't know anyone come find one of the staff and we'll help get someone to help you out.

Most of all just plan to have fun!

Yes Tim. I think you should come and help keep the Ninja at bay.

I wish I could! I am sure it will be a great event, even if the Ninja takes the cake (and bbq )

Some year the ATTF / Ritewing crew will have to make a big tour around the US and hit all the big ones!

I'm bringing all my tools again this year. Had a few people borrow my prop balancer, prop reamer, screwdrivers, mini drill, etc. Came in handy.

That's great! There will be a few vendors on site for broken props, esc's and such but sometimes you need a drill or soldering iron to get things fixed up again. Ask around as many times you can find what you need and get some help on your repair as well.

Bring the bug spray it is the mid of the summer in Minnesota!

Are you guys spraying permethrin?
