I had a katana MX. key word is had there, i enjoyed it so much on the maiden i ran out of battery and it crashed into a million pieces. not my best idea, i have flown extreme flight and 3dhs planes and if you are looking for a plane to go huck around for 5-8 minutes get the katana but if you want to fly something that feels bigger and more precise get the 3dhs and i think that the extremeflight falls right in with the 3dhs plane. it all depends on what you want to do.
good luck with choosing the plane you really cant go wrong with these planes they are all extremely high quality. and its just a hobby its all about the fun |

well i have my own fleet of planes.
3dhs: 71" ,89",104" slicks /58" edge lee ulinger: extra330 dw fomies: micro juka, and yak parkzone: t-28, p-51,extra300, visionair ms composite: maxi swift, swift 2, j tech lazer: switchblade extreme flight: 64"mxsr st model: fox dreamflight: alula but i would say my favorite plane to mess with is my 58" edge from 3dhs. my friends have the 59" slick. it flies almost identically to my 71" slick i couldn't believe it. but i loved my katana mx for the short while i had it. |

I had the KMX.. had.
I'm not bashing the plane because it flew nice but, PA charges way too much if you need just something small. I couldn't take it anymore so I sold my KMX, AMR, and Addiction over last season. You'll spent 2x-3x's as much on shipping from them compared to any other company. The planes are nice until you need wheel pants, cowl, or CF gear... just say'n. |

I would recommend the 59 slick over the PA, EF 60" extra is a sweet flyer also. The 58 edge is also a great flying airplane. The support from the factories and the fellow flyers here on the thread are excellent for any of these planes. so pick the one that appeals to you. the 50 to 60" airplanes are heavier which will give you a better flying in the wind.

Don't forget about "the 57":

What airplane of the 3DHS, EF is the fluffiest lightest flyer. I been flying the Addiction so there will be some adjustment with these higher performance machines. 3D starts at 1:15:
