I suspect that someone looking in the right vicinity would find some kind of lineups molded into the foam.

If all else fails, center the servos, lock the control surfaces neutral, and see where that puts the servos.

I have the transmitter that comes with the Sport Cub S RTF, and I used it for the Habu 180 with the Navy color scheme. The transmitter only binds to the Habu when it wants to and for the past three weeks I haven't gotten it to bind. Answers anyone?

Hey guys finally got the balls to maiden my yellow version habu today, to my surprise it seems my skills are a bit higher then i gave myself credit for as first throw and flight was a non event, few questions though, i have the battery in the lengthwise position as far back as i can fit in the stock af and the plane needed 7-10 clicks of down trim to keep her from soaring to the clouds, all flight surfaces seemed in correct pre flight positions and the habu seemed to feel a lil tail heavy, like the backend was skating a bit, most people say it is a nose heavy bird, am i doing something wrong or would strapping a few pennys on the battery be a good fix for this...thx for any advice in advance

Two fingers is good for a plane this light. My batt sits in the middle of the slot and flies fine, loops and rolls and all that cool stuff. These kinds of planes with everything preinstalled, the CH is pretty well fixed.
Running a 200 ma batt in her. Modded a bit to make her look something like a T33.
Gord.

Mine flies way better with CG a few mm back from "stock". Can't remember what that is off top of my head.

Shows where mine is: (around 1min 45 sec in vid)
E-Flite UMX HABU 180- July 11, 2015- Mods and flight (7 min 29 sec)

I adjusted and balanced cg to 45mm as nitro had his adding weight to the tail and it shoots up even harder then before, trim was maxed out just to fly level, flew nice when trimmed out but prob a lil too much glide, over shot my landing by about 50 yards w just one lil elevator blip on the approach... Rlly thinking its tail heavy or the way the rear stabilizers came are off the thrust line...prob will just add some weight to the batt compartment and manually correct elevators for down trim unless anyone has other advice

Make sure your elevator is neutral when the sticks and trims are neutral. Adjust control rod as necessary by pinching/widening the u-bend.

Good setup for the CG is to get it up to a reasonable height and set the elev. trim for level flight. Now flip it inverted. It should fly level or just gradually drop the nose. If it climbs, it's tail heavy. If it drops the nose quite readily, it's nose heavy.
I like it so it flies level, upright and inverted.

Gord.
