Remote glow plug connector ?

Looking for a good glow plug connector to use together with on-board ignition, for a fully cowled in engine. Looking for the type that connects to the glow plug post reliably, and stays in place. Commercial, or home made I'm not fussy, as long as it's reliable, and stays in place.

What are you using ?

Thanks.

I like these ones http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=HAN3025 they have a spring and you pull on the wire then put it on the plug and it locks on quite well.

I use the metal insert from a 3Amp chock block connector with an insulating washer to connect to the plug stem, a solder loop to connect to the crankcase and a bulkhead mounting phono-socket to plug in to. Some reasonably thick wire to carry the current to connect it all up, insulate with some heat-shrink sleeve, job done for a fraction of the cost of a commercial remote glow kit.

Solder a wire to a wheel collar and put it on the glow plug post with a cardboard washer between it and the plug body. Put the other wire under a motor mount bolt.

Glo plug connector

I use a wheel collar with a wire silver soldered to it. The whole thing is then insulated with heat shrink.
