Don't ever put your plans for the day on the net. Soon as I said I was
going to go break something, it started to rain. What an unlucky break for
Labor Day.

I will live to bash another day.

Well, I had to laugh... doesn't it always work out that way?
Sorry you got rained out, and it ruined your plans.
Up here in Michigan, we are calling 2004 "The Summer that "Wasn't".
Most weekends have been either cold, or raining. I have been going to the
indoor track to keep runnin' my cars. The Fall/Winter indoor (yes NITRO) racing
season starts in 2 weeks, so I'm looking forward to that.
Better luck next time bud.

must be one hell of a ventilation system to run nitro indoors. But with all
the snow and stuff up there, it doesn't surprise me that it has been done.
These boys still run the nitro rails when it is "freezing" down here. It's
kind of funny to watch - the tree counts down, reaction time is shot, cars
slip and slide.

Later,

Shannon

Yep.
"Dirt Burner" racing in Commerce, MI.
They used to have a website where you could see pictures of their track, but
they are re-designing the site.
They claim the website will be back up later this year.
The track is HUGE... blue-groove, with tons of jumps.
They ventilate the building with "aircraft" type exhaust fans on three of
the four walls.
It can still get smokey in there (when a lot of cars are running), but it's
never really too bad.
The racing is VERY organized, with a good turn-out of 1/10th scale stadium
trucks (my class)... 1/8th scale buggies, and they just started a monster truck
class for the T-Maxx/Savage...etc. guys.
Their hobby shop has a huge inventory of parts, to keep ya up-n-runnin'.
Next time I'm up there, Ill take a couple digital pics to show the facility,
if you're interested.
An afternoon spent up there on a snowed-in weekend, can sure beat the Winter
Blues.
