MPVR+CB File Problem

I filled my 4GB card during a flight and noticed that it wasn't recording anymore. I realized what had happened and pulled out the full card and inserted another sd card and hit "record" and finished off the fight. When I went to DL the first (full) card I couldn't. I got a file error. I figured that I should have hit the "record" button to stop recording prior to taken the card out of the camera. What's funny is that ArcSoft media will play the file, it's just that I can't get it off the card and into a video editing program. Anybody have a fix for this? BTW, it is a .asf file.
Thanks.

If it plays there should be something that'll convert it. You'll just have
to keep trying different apps until you find one. Try WinFF.

Ian,
Looks like MPC will save the file. Later tonight I'll use WINFF to deinterlace it and we'll see the quality of the video. The video I have is from the VuPoint recorder. Though it is decent, the Aiptek was recorded at a D1 setting rather than QVGA? like the VuPoint.

Thanks for the help.

VirtualDub can repair the file if it's AVI... To do this, there are two options:

1:

-Open the file in VirtualDub
-Save the file using video's menu option "Direct Stream Copy"

2:

-Open the file in VirtualDub
-Choose video's menu option "Scan video stream for errors"
-Save the file using video's menu option "Full processing mode" without applying any compression.

Hope it helps...

Thanks. I'll try it though the file is an .asf file and VD doesn't load those. But I'll try anyway.

I got it saved using Media Player Classic.

Thanks.
