RJL Kraft 61 w/muffler New in the Box
I am listing these motors for a good friend to help him pay some medical expenses. He has two of these motors that he needs to sell.
**** THERE ARE TWO OF THESE FOR SALE ****
This is the engine that was designed for Kraft Radio Systems to market to the top competition pattern flyers in 1975. It exceeded the power output of the popular Webra Speeds, and quickly became the engine of choice for nearly all the top U.S. pattern fliers, dominating the winner's circle for several years because of it's power, reliability, and longevity. RJL Industries purchased the Kraft engine line in the late 70's, improved the carburetor and muffler, and rather than using the cheap die casting for the crankcase that many manufactures use today, use an expensive, aerospace 356 alloy investment casting & lost-wax pattern for the crankcase. The engine costs $188.00 new, and is built to last. Engine wt. is a light 17.5 oz., and doesn't have the common place, bulky, ugly muffler to hang off of your plane, but rather a streamlined shape, and weighs but 2.8 oz. Great vintage engine to go along with an older pattern plane design for use in Senior Pattern competition.
Had Randy at RJL Industies in CA (where these are made and serviced) hand assemble two of these engines for me this year, but now need to sell to pay med. bills. Both still in box, unwrapped. Sell each for $130 to include shipping CONUS.
