Norvels are apparently available :-)

Despite the improved pricings, definitely up from $40 bux back in the day.. apparently competitively priced, currently though :-)

I bought a couple of engines from NV Engines a couple three months ago.
They work fine for me. I ordered some repair parts too, and I had no problems getting the parts either. So I do not have a problem with NV Engines

Here is one of them I test ran a while back.

Hi revs, notably more go .
Hopefully they will still have some after the Dec flurry.

i happen to have one of the early AMD ones too. I think the difference is the venturi no throttle version has a larger intake than does the RC version, so it rev's up higher.
5x3 prop using Glow Plug Boy 1/2a fuel. I suspect it'll do even better with a proper glow plug head on it too.

I think this one is pretty darn close to being the same as the old early models.

Says who?

I have seen some very strange HP values from you in another thread, do you have any personal experience with these engines yet?

The first time I ever fired up a AME .049 or .061 was at least 20 years ago. It turned a 5x3 Cox prop about 26,000 on 30% Powermaster. I've seen the same level of performance if not better from the Revlite engines.

Post #2 that you mention describes the difference between a Big Mig and an AME, not the difference between pre-Revlite and post-Revlite. Both types are available both ways.

Ahhh My posting/typing mistake.. apologies then.
Wasn't aware, although there is No listing on the NV site for a Revlite AMD version engine.
It's this one: http://www.nvengines.com/index.php?p...mart&Itemid=65
that has me wondering if it's still available.
But I should really be asking NV, shouldn't I

The one you are linking to is a pre-Norvel model, it is the oldest design out of all the engines listed on their site...

The pre-revlite Norvel is this one; http://www.nvengines.com/index.php?p...mart&Itemid=65

They are pretty responsive to emails.
Also they usually put on their website when something is out of stock.
I had ordered some parts and he emailed me with some options if they were out of stock on something as he was low on that particular item, but it turned out they still had the parts in stock and they sent them to me without having to use the alternative parts.

Dr Hepperle Has a listing/ basic description of the AME 'Aero' engine.
with a 125 to 175 watt rating.
http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/...allengines.htm
That would be more than Double the TD's power output.
Also displays the original VA mk1, of which I have production #404, as yet unrun since getting it from Dan in '93.
(the good doctor may be a bit off (2/3 years) on his datings :-)
My Model is ready, so it's going to be fitted, awaiting warmer and drier weather :-).
