Thanks to Mike Lee I have a repaired fuse. Hopefully back in the air Saturday to re-trim and check things out, then the next SC2 competition on Sunday!

The only thing better than a new Xplorer is a repaired Xplorer that you can fly without worrying about scuffing up -

Fly like its rented !

Can anyone advise me on proper throws and mixing options for an X1 3.8?

Will be getting a second-hand ship soon and want to be ready to program it into my Tx. Thanks.

Here is a good place to start, I used these to set up my 3.8 initially and then tweaked from there. I liked my CG at 120.

Don't be afraid of the CG @ 130. The model really comes alive and is very stable

Thanks. I'll check out those settings. I like my CG pretty far back anyway, so maybe I'll try 130mm.

The x1 foil has plenty of camber designed into it. Don't be afraid to use in section as a rough air thermal mode. I've found only 2-3mm camber is plenty to thermal with in smooth air as well.
Good luck.

Ps. I always shut off Flapperon mixing and snapflap mixing on launch and landing modes. Planes handle much better without these mixes in those flight modes. Use the throttle stick as the switch to "turn on" the landing mode and to turn off these mixes. Just a suggestion.
