Can someone explain the difference between lama2 ,and lama2-1? Want to get one but not sure which one. Thanx

Lama 2-1 is an upgrade to the lama 2, You can also get it with the metal upgrades. The lama 2 is the older model, what you should be comparing is the Lama 2-1 an the 5g6-1. They are both 2.4gig and I hear the 5g6 is a little better in control and uses slightly better servos. Both Walkera brand. Myself I went with the efight blade mCX S300. (IMHO the motors are a little longer lasting). I was deciding between s300 and 5g6, (still may get a 5g6, when have the $)

I had a couple of coax's.....UFO#8 blows them away. very stable and maneuverable Oh, did I mention fast. If you haven't tried one...do it.

It has 4 of the Walkera motors to keep track of. Do you replace all four at once? How does it handle the wind?

The difference between the Lama 2 and the 5G6-1 is separate servos on the 5G6-1 versus linear servos mounted on the receiver board on the Lama 2 and Lama 2-1. The real problem with the Lama 2 is the lousy receivers. Walkera didn't do a very good job of teaching their assembly line workers how to solder. The -1 version hasn't adequately addressed that either. I have both and the 5G6-1, for me, wins hands down.

How does the UFO #5 compare to the UFO#8? I've heard the 5 is better. The 8 is nothing but 4 unreliable Walkera motors with 4 props and almost nothing else.

Don't know much about the #5 except it's 2s, bigger, and faster. The motors on the #8 hold up pretty good [for walkera motors] and it'll take some wind. you're right about 4 motors and nothing else. no TBE, dodgey servos

walkera UFO#8 (2 min 30 sec)

and is quite happy in the house...mind you, I AM NOT ANY KIND OF PILOT.
