Are all Falcon 120 the same manufacturer? I am looking at this one

I am guessing that the answer is yes but I do not know that for sure. I do know that there are a few different versions. The first generation of the Falcon 120's had sheet balsa leading edges up to the spar and the rest of the wing had an open structure covered with plastic film. They also had one bolt on each side of the boom holding the horizontal stab too the boom. The second generation of the Falcon 120 had fully sheeted wings covered with plastic film. They also had two bolts on each boom holding the stab to the boom. IMHO, both of the Falcon 120's had a problem with poor glue joints and the formers in the fuse were not glued in very well. My first and second generation Falcon 120's all had problems with bad glue joints or lack of glue. The other weak link on the first and second generation Falcon's was the motor mount area was very weak and had a tendency to break if not reinforced.

Thanks for that, I have just ordered a Jet Joe 1400 so are looking for an airframe for it

Hopefully you ordered it from Andy @ CRX Turbines as he disassembles them fits, adjusts, and test runs so you get a reliable turbine. He also provide warranty service .

JetJoes are a lot different now to what they were in the past and plenty of help on the Jetjoe forums if there is any issues

It doesn' t really matter where you order from but if/when service needed, I would recommend using a local rep. Cost of shipping to/from China is a lot more than in US and takes longer.
