Violet Storm

On a bright (purple/ yellow) note - I have my new 4M pro in the purple and yellow plus purple pod. Built and tested and has been rested until Angry Bird (Australian Magpie) season is over.
I am not into comp so have fitted with MVVS 5.6 690 with 15x8 vita-prop. seems to get up real quick on 4 cells.

Nice colours, like the name. My plain red all over 3.6 is a bit dull, but luck of the draw when it's the only one left in country.

If you change your mind about competing, there's an F5J event in Canberra next week - they're pretty low key so low pressure and high fun, with a mix of Pulsars to Radians to 2m Electras, and height loggers for loan. Don't need to worry about magpies either, the giant wedgies chased them all away

We have two resident wedge tails - they must be too nice to magpies. They come over and look at out gliders but so far don't touch - great at showing us thermals

What date in Canberra Scirocco?

Sunday 2 Nov at the NAAS club, which is about 50km south of the centre of Canberra. It's hosted by NAAS, run by http://www.aefanet.com/. There's electric old timers on the Saturday, and on Sunday there's F5j run in parallel with the foamy fun fly, which is targeted to Radians, but pretty much anything not too exotic up to 2m can join in. No loggers required for the fun - it's just a timed climb and a shorter duration task. F5J is to standard rules. The last event at Appin had well over a dozen entrants flying 5 or 7 rounds

Leadchucker,
One more interesting motor, Riva RedFox. Ben has one now in his 3.8m Stork (after bad luck with 1025 motors) . Not expensive..It uses a Turnigy heli motor..outrunner.
FlightComp is bringing them into the US now.
http://flightcomp.com/product-catego...ve-components/

Palo (aka Tender) has one of these RedFox motors to power his 6m Stork. AUW for his composite 6m Stork is 1680 grams!

Like this color scheme a lot.

I will be doing something this winter.
I have all red w/white pod 3.2 m FH E Pulsar
I also have damaged center section for 3.6m which will need new covering.
I was thinking of using black woven carbon look instead of red.
If it comes out good I might redo horizontal stab with same since it has couple of holes from landings.

I have that EXACT color scheme on my 3.6 pulsar,, it looks REAL pretty in the air,,
Also more importantly, VERY visible,, and easy to differentiate from all the others up there ;-)

If you have not looked at these videos (DVDs and Instructional Downloads) you may want to do so. Paul Naton is a good man to deal with.

These videos contain much useful info on electric sailplanes and sailplane repair. He also has a good one on thermals.

Well....got notice late Friday there are no 4M Pulsars to be had at SUSA. Alex left a message along with a a pep talk about the Eagle which I didn't know a whole lot about. Plus I thought it only came in RES configuration in electric version putting it outside the envelope of what I was looking for (full house 4 metre ship).

The Eagle does come in FH 4M despite not being listed so I went for it along with some better servos (MKS6100). Hope it works out.

Pulsar Poly 3.2

I know this is not the for sale section but I may be selling my poly 3.2. I haven't had a chance to fly it in 2 years. I'm just putting out some "feelers" for this. It is in excellent condition; flown maybe 2 hours.

You didn't mention if it was the new pro version,,or the older version with the slip on nosecone,, either way you shouldn't have ANY trouble selling it,, as the Pulsars
ARE VERY popular.
