New Product
MD80 Kit

I am pleased to announce the availability of an easy build kit for the MD80.

This one was originally scratch built by K. Sparks. Now Keith and I are offering a easy build kit that requires no foam cutting.

Details are at http://www.wowplanes.com/product_inf...roducts_id=207

$250!? Is that $70 worth of foam and $180 for some hotwiring? I love your kits and finishing stuff man but I can't seem to figure out how bare foam (the nose isn't even sanded to shape) costs that much.

You don't even include the plastic parts.

Plans and plastic parts can be purchased from parkflyerplastics.com
Seriously, what would the buyer be paying for?

I can buy the plastics from Parkflyer Plastics and include them in the kit. But then I will have to pay for the shipping from them to me, and the unpacking and re-packing. Then I have to pass this cost on to you. Instead, I am trying to save you money, by avoiding this unnecessary expense and asking you to buy them direct and save yourself some money. Hope this makes sense.

Agreed. Sorry price is waaayyy too steep for unpolished kit form. Same amount can buy a molded 737 or molded A380 or 777 from Windrider and cover shipping from China.

These are "kits" not arfs. They are for people who like to build.

so are the others, Windrider's are just bare foam kits, nothing is included, accept a cheap livery they came up with, which I have yet to see one person use on it.

I didn't know that, but my kits are not foamies. They are foam internally, but the finished model is a composite. Check out my website at http://www.wowplanes.com and make sure you click on the word "MANUAL" & "PICTURE GALLERY" to see how they are built and finished.

I really don't like to bag on a product, but until you supply composite parts, it's not a composite. If te builder wants to, they can make all the other kits composite by the way you are going about it. Until then, there is no sense in arguing that it is a composite.
