Shocky Motor Mount
Hi, this probably seems really stupid, but do you reckon its possible to use a CD as a motor mount?
like the same way you use plywood? in this example?
assuming i dont snap it and cut and drill it cleanly... do you think its possible??
bolt it onto the cd.... then glue the CD onto the front of the shockflyer?
Maybe scratch the surface up a bit so it glues together better? epoxy?
but yeah this may be completely stupid.. just let me know what you think.
also am i meant to mount teh motor pointing in a certain direction.. to counter the torque?" which way and by how much?

on most of my foamys i dont realy mess with off setting the motor to counter the torque, its typicaly done with down and right thrust, how much greatly depends on the motor, but 2-3 digreese is usaly a good starting point. I dont see why the cd wouldnt work, it might be more brittle then lite-ply that most shocky-style planes use.
