I bought a 59" slick that already needs repair, so I'm looking for repair ideas. 3DHS is out of the motor box repair kits.

I got a notice from 3dhs saying many parts will be available early next week. You can just call them next Monday.

I have since sold that one and just finished my second 59"
I found that by putting braces between gear plate and formers both front and back helped as well as replacing the carbon fiber rods that go thru the gear plate with thicker walled CF. didn't have any more problems.

Just finished # 2 last night and we have high winds today so maiden will have to wait.

Are the original carbon tubes CA'd in or is it epoxy? Are they hard to remove?
Have you tried replacing the carbon tubes with solid carbon rods? Or better yet, can you give me the source for your thick walled carbon tubes?
Thanks,
Brad

Maybe a 1/4" move back for the 4000 mAh 4S GensAce, getting pretty close to the wing tube now. Can't wait for some good weather to test it out and see how she feels.
Got two flights in this afternoon since I had two packs still charged from 2 weekends ago that needed to be put back at storage voltage. Spotty snow on the runway made for some interesting landing but very cool visuals.

I'm really liking the CG change I made, not nearly as much down elevator required now when she rolls inverted. Rollers seemed easier and she didn't want to tip out of hovers like before. With the larger upgraded Motrolfly motor and the 4000 mAh vs 3800 mAh packs I should have made this move months ago. Now I just need some nice weather to get her dialed back in.

Whats amazing is that by my second battery I was over the nerves and simply having fun with it... I think the airframe is so good it simply inspires confidence. But more importantly, I couldnt get the smile off my face. Best plane I have flown so far by a long way. love the slick!

ps: Thanks RC, Steve and others for all your help along the way, really appreciate it. Have fun!

You are correct Eric....when you buy a fuselage, you get a fuselage.... you must re-use everything else from your previous plane (and it's not that hard to remove the stab etc.) or buy new parts. If you need help on how to do this, PM me.
