I just got off the phone with Robert at EJF. He told me there is a new F-16 from rclander with retracts, housing a 70mm fan. The thing about this is that it's made of some kinda foam that looks like plastic. So I'm guessing it WILL look SWEEET! Robert said "hoping it will be release in around the next month".
This will be a must for me after seeing the thunderbirds this weekend at the airshow in Fort Worth TX.

Go to post 698 and there are two shots of the initial 'mock-up' of the fattie F-16. There's been discussion that they might offer an F-16XL model in the future (well a few of us we're PLEADING with Tim to make one anyway!!) but just the fat bodied 16 looks awesome to me the way it is. Lots of room in there to fiddle with.

And I suspect it will be made of the Super EPO (EPS?) that has a tighter fill too it making it look less like the foam that it is. Check out the fourth picture over and you can see the Super EPO fuse on the hand launch Panther that's coming out here shortly. It weighs a bit more (about 10% more) but looks better and is stronger (according to the write-ups and explanations provided on this thread, I'm no expert!):

Well I guess I need the specs on this one. Anyone know the details and will this be the same 70mm Aluminum alloy fan RCLander is offering in the Panther?

YIKES! That's ugly! I'm a huge F-16 fan ( I own 7 with one more on the way) and that one looks just awful. I hate the ugly fuel tanks and the big extension on top of the fuse.

And, oh yeah, the landing gear. WAY too narrow. Not going to be fun in a cross wind. Pitty, I was hoping for something really nice from Lander. Their other planes look so nice.

thats actually a version I didnt expect to see. Although Im glad to see someone is trying it. the conformal fuel tanks and SME dorsal I think would look cool if done in more of a smooth foam.

Yeah keep in mind this is a MOCK-UP of what's to come; hopefully Tim Wan can chime in here but this is obviously not what the final version will look like.

F-16XL PLEASE!!!! That's the one I want, no doubt! Heck Tim, I'll place a pre-order for one if that would help!

They will try to cover the foam with plastic shell. At least one of the pictures from the links above gives it away. Not bad idea, gains weight but if you glass the foamy it gets heavy anyway.

Hi Mark,

She is come with our 70mm metal fan 3575kv (B2850 motor) same as our 4S Panther EDF. But she is lighter than Panther even included retractable landing gear and other spare parts. Also she can be coverted for two type D & I version from one kit. The following is her first testing fight for sharing with all of you.
