If runnning on grass is important, I would advise at least a truggy. Buggy might not have enough ground clearance.

I went down to our local hobbie store. Any feedback on the Traxxas Slash. Its a little higher priced than we were looking to spend and so instead of three cars we might only be able to do one right now. But the fact that it has fenders to keep the line out of the wheels and its water proof seems to make sense. From the sound of it, it's a pretty popular car.

Anyone have any shop contacts who may be willing he help a good cause out by selling us cars at or near cost?

traxxas slash is good from what iv heard,and you have local shop to help you out so mabbie thats the best route for you,if you want cheap go to hobby king but you will have to wait for parts,if im not misstaken the traxxas slash as a plastic spur gear so get a metal one while your there
