I'll take a pic tonight, on my way to work now. but hey, its friday

I had to cut a section out of the top of the cowling to remove the old motor. only because the motor wires had been hot glued to the foam . If your motor wires are free you can remove and replace the motor without cutting anything. oohh but before you mount the new motor (if your going with the 2826) you'll need to trim the foam steps from inside the recess. just to allow some clearance for the larger diam motor. This doesn't affect anything and is easy to do when the motor is out.

Hi guys, how are you?

Flew my Bixler yesterday first time fpv. I have to say I just love it. Even with all my fpv gear I got some really nice gliding.

with stock motor and a 6x4 prop the bixler climbed incredible fast, havent got my osd yet so I have no exact data.

here is a video:

I put together the fuse a moment ago and the motor is mounted. When I give it throttle even with the prop off theres some tiny vibrations throughout the whole plane. Nothing major just tickles your palm when you hold the plane.
Is that normal?

I havent installed it yet and im just a beginner but I will be using this as a starting point:

http://www.mycoolrc.com/gyro/indexnew.html

and this

http://www.mycoolrc.com/gyro/ailerongyroinstall1.html

I will be using one on the elevator and ailerons. Just doing it for the fun of it and will make it easy to unplug them if i want to. As written a few posts back ill be setting up the plane and getting the feel for it, then mechannically trimming as best I can before using the gyros.

my bixler arrived!!...but...

received mine 2day. Checked all contents 1st just by observation (all components still in plastics).....all seems ok except a broken right wing's tip. Going to do full checking again tmrw and will start building it in a couples of days (bz with school's sport). Just for head-ups, a few Qs:

1. What a good/best/foam-frienldy glue outhere?
2. Which part to be (& not to be):
a. Glued (not permanently), glue (permanently)?
b. Screwed....(what type of screw)?
c. Velcroed....(other than the electronics)?
d. Taped......?
....

best glue im my opinion is epoxy, you can use gorilla glue if you are careful and dont let it foam a lot.
Your tail section should be glued, the control horns need to be replaced or modded so they go inside the foam (dont glue then because they will fail)
wings can be held together with 3m hooks and rubber bands.
velcro just the electronics
glue the CF rod to one of the wings only
tape the cover strips on the wings ( the ones that cover the CF rod and the aileron servo wires)
Im sure I missed a lot of stuff tho

I have been using UHU POR recently. Good on foam. There are two ways you can use it.
1. As a contact glue.
2. Put the glue on one surface and place together. This way you can make sure the parts are level as you can move the parts. Then stick a bit of tape to hold untill set.
