But according to the description of the pilot, the crash was not caused by a failure of the folding mechanism.

No, the two plastic halves stayed together. What I meant was "is it capable". I would of sworn that in the first two flights I did a couple of curcuits inverted. The last flight when I rolled inverted it dove to the ground. I am thinking that the troubled launches dislodged the control horns enough that I didn't have full negative deflection of the control surfaces. I just would like to be sure.

Does anyone have a small plastic parts set for the glider version? I haven't been able to find any in stock. It looks like this plane is on the way out....

It's been around a long time, so that's a possibilty. But also parts for these planes are typically rare and hard to get. Maybe the best approach is to buy another kit as spare parts....

Sorry, but I can't say anything about the future of the Xeno.

Spare parts don't seem to be a problem - at least not over here in Germany:

(Just an example)

Well it would almost be cheaper to buy the kit than pay for shipping from Germany to the USA.....

edit: never mind! I see tower hobbies shows the xeno as discontinued, so I guess it is already......

Well, it looks like the Xeno is still available - not from Tower, but from Multiplex USA:

It doesn't look like they sell direct.

But they don't list the Xeno as discontinued..... yet.

Angled stabilizers at the end of wing: is it a problem?

Hello pilots.

I saw in 2 posts that some people move their vertical stabilizers to the end of wings, like winglets.
In these 2 pics it seems that stabilizers are not in line with the flying wing central line. So is an angled winglet a problem or no influence on flight? (I'm building a new flying wing starting from my multicrashed Xeno wings)

Thanks!
Denis

EDIT: found the answer after some research on RCG and on other websites: the winglets "toe-in" can help to stabilize yaw, acting like dihedral. Seems that angle between 2 and 9 degrees is commonly used, my angle is 8 degrees, I will try that and modify if not ok.
