If it can't stay upright then you have to inspect the front end for any binding.

One thing to try, when you stick the battery in, it will most likely push the wires in different directions inside the fairing. Most of the time, the wires and battery connector push forward and interfere with the forks. So use a small screwdriver and push them back in so the forks can turn freely without any interference. After giving it some throttle, it should be able to track straight.

Rumour has it that in the UK at least Kyosho have reduced the price of these bikes to clear stock.
I hope that means that there's going to be some new versions coming, not that they're finishing them altogether.

Sorry, don't mean to throw out negative waves...Kyosho has been producing this same model for decades without any changes after Gen 2. So, while we can dream and hope, best not to get our hopes up.

Now if they changed the plastic frame for a carbon one and changed the headstock to a more up to date design and convinced outside companies not to machine in a weight in their rims and replaced the white plastic body with a polycarbonate one and...well you get the idea.
