Air to air slope video

Many years ago I attempted to get video of one slope glider from another
using the guts of a wireless security camera, along with a receiver on the
ground to pick up the camera's transmissions, and a camcorder to record them. This large array of equipment would have delivered some great video...except that the picture cut out every time the plane got more then 30 feet away from the ground receiver.

So, cut to a decade later....ah, what a few years of technological
advancements and a $13 keyfob video camera can do!

My Sting DS being chased by a Spider F3F.

Sting tail cam (5 min 12 sec)

My Acacia, this time being chased by BigSwede's super-sized Ninja XL.

Acacia and Ninja Onboard (3 min 20 sec)

You got some really god shots in there Brett! The lift was ok on this day, but I can't wait to do some more filming, hopefully we'll get a really good day soon.

We were definitely getting better as we went a long. Especially the part about 2:30 in, where you stayed with me for 4 or 5 runs.

Yeah, the lift kept better too, which made it a little easier. I'm home Sunday. Let's go fly.

Cool, we'll check weather, but usually the wind picks up between 3-4 in the afternoon.

Great, thanks Big Swede! Love the new tagline by the way... are you a master of all the "oriental" fighting forms? Sig really needs to update that line to get with the times... it's not 1984 any more!!

I'm going to try to get the video I have that show's a mid-air between my Impulse and a friend's Sailaire. It was a head on and because it was done with a security camera it's over in a nano second. Then the Sailaire. still intact manage's to video me picking up the piece's of my Impulse. I've never seen another video like this one.

Very cool. Are you actually flying that through FPV? Do you have head tracking?
