Tiansheng Cessna filmed by TBS discovery

This is only my third flight of the Tiansheng Giant Cessna and im still playing around with CG and battery setups..Shes flying with a 4s4000Mah lipo mounted as far forward as possible and you will still notice she is a little bit tail heavy. Nothing more Mah upfront wont fix im guessing.
My friend has purchased a new TBS Discovery pro quad with a really nice and stable result in filming using a fantastic gimbal and the GoPro 3blk.
Flying the TBS Disco via FPV you can check out this short youtube vid to see what the Cessna looks like from another perspective .
Enjoy!

Hi

I am looking at buying this plane but I need a measurement for my car.

Can some one please measure from the top of the tail to the floor so I can know how tall the plane is.

Thank you

Are those shorts and pants you're wearing in the third photo?

Sorry for the delay, just noticed your post
I measured mine from the top of the rudder to the ground vertically at 550mm.
Mine may vary from stock a little though, I have larger diameter rubber wheels and the rear main undercarriage was from my original Cessna so may not have exactly the same angle bends, still trike setup though so it should be close.

Hope this helps you

Do you need overall length as well?

I have an SX4 it has a huge boot (trunk for the Americans) for a buzz box!
I reckon wings off and put the plane through back door nose first so the tail will sit on the back seat. ..... I hope!

If anyone knows of a similar scale tail drager please let me know.

Cheers

sandgroper, you can make ur cessna taildragger with minor modifications. It's been done many times, you can find details somewhere earlier on this thread.
cheers

me thinks you COULD get this plane into ur sx4 only if ur back seats and passenger seat are fold-able..... this baby is huge!

I concur, the SX4 looks like an SUV of sorts, I'd agree you should be able to get it in across folded seats, although your Mrs might need to be of petite proportions if she is coming along for the ride heh heh

Regarding tail dragger...
Do a "search this thread" ~ "advanced" ~ "user name" on myself and somewhere earlier in this thread you'll read on my tail dragger conversion, also "thread tools" ~ "show attachments" and 2/3rds down the page of pics you'll see my original TDger Cess with pics of another.
The conversion is quite easy.
There are 2 mounting points for the main undercarriage, 1 point as is stock for this bird in trike form with the mains mounted aft of the battery compartment.
2nd mount point is fwd of battery hatch, which is where I mounted my main undercarriage, and is also used for the floats for sea plane version.
The only minor challenge is the tail wheel, I bought my tail wheel from hobbyking and slaved a steering servo off the rudder servo.
I did this convert before maiden on my first Cessna and worked beautifully, I could fly off dirt roads and paddocks I previously would never have dreamed possible.
Unfortunately she died after my rc control was compromised.
My current Cessna is trike form, I have considerably strengthened the nose wheel but haven't flown on anything than nice grass.
I am still tempted to go back to a dragger setup....

Where in Oz are you? You'd be welcome to visit & try fitting my Cess in your Suzi if you'd like.
PM me if need be

Can anyone on this thread, tell me where I can purchase one of these Cessna's. I unfortunately crashed mine, after many years of great flights. and would love to replace it. H.K. doesn't seem to carry it anymore.(that's where I got it from.) Thanx, James.

If all google searching fails, try emailing TianSheng direct, I have never dealt with TS myself, but I have contacted other Chinese manufacturers with surprisingly good results.
