Multistar High Capacity LiPo Batteries

Ultra high capacity LiPo batteries designed specifically for multi-rotor use.

Increase flight time without adding weight

Hobbyking's newest line of Turnigy batteries promises extended flight time with little to no increase in weight vs. the same mAh pack of a different brand. The Multistar line of LiPo batteries allow for an increase in the fuel tank by reducing the discharge rate; a 4s 4000mAh pack has a constant discharge rate of 10a and a burst rate of 20a. These reduced rates can be attained on multirotor platforms, making the Multistar LiPo's a suitable choice.

Hobbyking is claiming increased flight times up to 20%. The packs come prewired with XT60 connectors.

The Multistar high-capacity LiPo's are currently available in:

  • 4s 4000 mAh
  • 3s 4000 mAh
  • 3s 5200 mAh
  • 4s 5200 mAh

CLICK HERE for more info on Turnigy's Multistar LiPos

Features:

  • Ultra high capacity LiPo batteries designed specifically for multi-rotor use
  • Similar size/weight as batteries of much lower capacity, making these a direct drop-in upgrade for most multi-rotor aircraft
  • Provides increased flight times of up to 20% or more when compared to standard LiPo batteries of the same weight
  • Ideal for use with aerial video and FPV multi-rotor aircraft

Usually it takes a few weeks or a month for new products to reach the US warehouse.

Hey you got it very wrong, it's 10C (not A).. A 10C on 4000mah is 40A discharge, and 20C burst is 80A.. So that's not actually too bad! Make sure you read product page properly haha! better luck next time

Nothing new! A 10C lipo should be lighter than a 25C lipo!
The only advantage I can see is a slight weight reduction, unless there is also a reduction in price.
The run longer bit is misleading.

It all sound nice, but don't you get more punch and less voltage drop out of higher C rated lipo pack, especially in multi-rotors? You would think that this lower C rated lipo would run warmer than a higher C rated one, which means you get somewhat less lifetime, and probably some puffing out of this lipo. I know the 40 amps are enough for most multi-rotors, but I have noticed that a higher amp draw rating is easier on the battery even though it's heavier.

Ok, maybe I'm misinformed.. but 10Amps isn't enough for most multi rotors, right?!?

Even the Phantom consumes about 7.5A per ESC/Motor. That times 4 is 30 Amps.
How is a 10 Amps Lipo going to provide that?

Edit: Oh, I see now it's 10C, not 10Amp..
Never mind.

Too bad it's too big to fit the Phantom 2 shell though..
