If you use a machine screw (threaded) hook with a T nut, you can make it adjustable by not gluing the block into the fuse.
Instead, cut a slot in the range of movement you are looking for, then use a small sheet metal screw to secure the block through a hole ahead of the slot in the fuse. Multiple holes in the block for the sheet screw allow the hook to have multiple positions.
I think this was a JT tip, if I recall correctly.
