I have videos on how to update the firmware on the Walkera transmitters and how to update the firmware on the receivers for helicopters and quads that have the firmware updating feature. I have videos on how to back up your transmitter models to a computer file and how to load models from your computer to your transmitter. I have a video on how to upgrade a Devo Transmitter Firmware to Deviation Firmware. The Walkera UP02 Upgrade Tool is used for updating the Devo 7 firmware. You will use the UP02 Program Upgrade Tools V1.0 software for this. For the other Devo transmitters you will use the USB port and USB cable that came with the transmitter to update the firmware. You will use the Devention Dfuse USB Upgrade Tools V1.5 (Devo12/S/Devo8/S/Devo10/Devo6) software for this. For updating the RX firmware you will use the Walkera UP02 Upgrade Tool and the Walkera UP-02 adapter. You will use the UP02 Program Upgrade Tools V1.0 software for this. Each video will tell you what adapter (s) to use and what software to use. I installed the deviation firmware in my Devo 10 and it works great! I was able to bind with my Mini CP and 4G6 with the RX2609. My friend came over today with his Blade mCPX so I tried it also and it worked well. Flying a Blade helicopter with a Devo TX was cool. I used the Blade mCPX model that is included with the deviation firmware. There is also a model for the Mini CP. When I installed the deviation firmware my models were no longer there. I backed mine up before the update. I went back to the original Devo 10 firmware and my models are now there again and everything works fine. I went back and forth between the deviation firmware and the Devo 10 firmware two times and each time worked fine with either firmware. I did this to see if you could go back to the original firmware if you wanted to and you can and there are no issues or problems doing so. I have the following Videos.
I updated the firmware on my Devo 7. My Devo 10 has the newest version firmware but I updated it agin to make the how to video. I updated the RX firmware on my Hoten-X, Ladybird, and Mini CP. I imported and exported models on my Devo 7 and Devo 10. I am using Windows 7 32 bit. Both of the Walkera software is working well. 12. Setup for the Walkera Master CP - RX2637H-D Receiver - Devo Transmitter.
Devo 6, Devo 7, Devo 7E, Devo 8S, Devo 10, and Devo 12S transmitters. Walkera recommended using their downloaded minicp.bin as a starting point for the Master. Their settings are very similar. You can use the settings here listed below which are from the user manual or you can use my settings for the Mini CP. Also there are Buildem336 (Manuel) 3D settings here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=64 See the index for my Mini CP setup gudies. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1325037 Special thanks to pmerritt for sending me the Master CP owners manual to make this setup guide. Devo 7 fixed manual
I have started marking up the Walkera Devo 7 manual with comments to make it clearer for newbies on how to operate, program and just get their head around this vaguely written manual. I will be updating these files periodically as there appear to be many errors in the manual.
Maybe Tom Z can link my manual in the first post. I will be updating it as I gain more experience and suggestions too. http://www.larsdennert.com/rc/Manual...7_markedup.pdf I have also started a menu tree of the Devo 7 which makes it easier to see where all the settings are and what the overall layout is. Additionally, I am marking up the Genius CP manual. These are all located at http://www.larsdennert.com/rc/ |
