Oh no. That's no good at all.

I've just build my Airoso and it is a PITA to build. Had parts missing and nothing fitted at all. It was definitely one of the most painful builds I've done to date.

On the other hand, I've had my maiden over the weekend and it is a beautiful plane once in the air. Good luck on the build!

Guys,
my experience with the Airoso has ended here.
I sent it back to HK.

Good luck with this pattern plane.
Cheers

Hello all in the Airoso thread. Luckily mine arrived undamaged from the UK warehouse, although I have the feeling the box has been opened and rummaged around in. The box opening felt a bit second hand if you know what I mean.
I went for this mix of gear:
Turnigy Brushless ESC 85A w/ 5A SBEC
NTM Prop Drive 50-50 580KV / 2000W
Turnigy Digital High Torque Ballraced Servo 26g/3.5kg/.12sec

Servos seem to be a very nice fit. Motor looks a little small for the size of plane but previous posters have said it's ok. I think I'll be running 3 cells in parallel as I have a poor track record in looking after batteries, and the 6 cells are too pricey to ruin!

Overall I'm quite impressed, it's my first balsa model for many years and it seems pretty good.

Has anybody felt the need to beef up the motor mount?

put supplied triangle at top and bottom, and additional cyno you wont need to take the front off again.

Anybody have tips on applying the transfers? I'm assuming they are waterslide type - is that correct?

Hi Bedrock,

Do you mean 3 cells in series? 3S for that motor seems to be way underpowered.

I have the same setup and am running 6 cells on a 14x10 prop.

Guys,
Make sure you beef up the U/C on this plane. Mine crapped out after the first couple of flights, including pretty smooth landings. The aluminum gear is way too soft. Bought a carbon fiber set for the plane but have not yet fitted it. My motor was an NTM 4248-650 with an 12x8 3 blade prop. Combo on 5S 4000mAh LIPO works really well, plenty of power and Harrier like takeoff 'leaps'.
Flies like a charm and does most all of the old F3A routines perfectly. Lands smooth as silk, but does not like rough fields - see U/C above.
Good luck.
Peter

This is the landing that I'm using with the Airoso. Thanks Pindro for the recommendation. It fits exactly, really rigid and is a good height.

Airoso completely desapointed

I received my Airoso it is not long a go.
Completely desapointed.
Quality it's ....A lot of area not glued ...... Wing tube way to big.......balsa soft and low quality and...... so on

Sorry to say but .....
I also order servos Corona DS238MG after reading here about.
The servos were ok but unusable because faulty arms way too large to porper fit.
So .... take care
