Signal wire needed on CC BEC ?
I have run out of channels in my CCPM 450 clone and would like to use a Castle BEC. The Gyro gain plug has only a signal wire so I am wondering if I can pull the red and black pins from the castle plug and put them into this one. Is there any reason the signal wire needs to go to the receiver? I will make an adapter to use if I ever need to use the PC. I prefer using an adapter only while not flying rather than a Y connector in-flight.

The signal wire is not required for in flight use on the CC BEC. It is there for Castle Link purposes only.
Your solution sounds very neat and tidy, but most would just put a small Y adapter in there....
