These are just regular parks or meadows, there's no special infrastructure for RC flight. Since i currently fly only small converted free flight planes this is no problem. If you want to fly larger planes you should probably join a local club.

Thanks gupi. The die is cast, I bought the model and started with the stabiliser, which has not turned out too bad, despite some misinterpretation of the plan. So now, on with the rudder. By the way, I pm's you on Vienna!

I got a little sidetracked by my (so cool) Christmas present - a wonderful set of plans for a 1/6 Fokker D.VII. The laser cut wood arrived this weekend and i just couldn't resist to start glueing. Here's the build log if you're interested:

Mate, loving this build! But please get back to it, i'm part way through the same model and was going to erm....borrow some of your techniques. That Focker looks massive by the way!

As promised, this build will continue. I glued the tail surfaces to the fuselage and linked them to the pushrods.

Meanwhile i found a nice little pilot for the Spit. He actually came with my Guillow's Thomas Morse but i thought that he was much too small to fit there when i built the Tommy. For the Spit i think he's perfect even though he's lacking details. Well, he needs to look alright up in the air.

Then i covered the wing. The bottom center section was re-enforced with thick paper to make it easier to hand launch the plane without leaving holes in the covering. Furthermore it'll help when belly-landing the bird. The ailerons need to cut free again (they were covered together with the wing).

Almost ready to fly!

Looking great gupi. I am stuck in China at the moment, missing working on my own build. I am inspired by your build to do a tissue build myself, always liked tissue.

Yesterday I started working on the cockpit and painting the pilot. I couldn't resist adding a couple of scale details more than I thought I'd do. I got carried away. Pictures will follow.

It's perfectly natural....

Here are the pictures of the current progress of the cockpit and the pilot. Need to make a headrest and glue everything in and then i'm done with it.

After one week of skiing vacation i found a little time to assemble the cockpit.

The pilot looks like he is saying "finish the plane already I'm ready for some action". Lol it looks good keep it up.

Progress is slow since the weather outside is absolutely "no fly" and there's not enough motivation to finish the bird just to have sit and wait for weeks until the weather is good enough.

I started to paint the underside using Tamiya rattle can paint. Horrible to use indoors since it's smell will fill the appartment in seconds. I'll probably have to wait until it's warm enough to paint outside.

I decided i'll use a paint scheme from the East India Squadron, QJ-S "Sheila".
