Cool looking heli. Seems like there are several different options for landing gear and some 429's have the added top fairing/cowling. There is even a wheeled version of the 429. This fuselage design looks alot like it is based off the Eurocopter designs. Looks like it has an EC-135 side fins on the horizontal, Main body resembles EC-145/BK 117, Nose section looks sorta Jet Rangerish.

I've found two styles of fixed landing gear and only one 429 helicopter with retracts.

So the upper cowling is correct afterall . I do like the blue/copper one.


And the 1:1 comes with a 4 blade tail...should make for a real easy 4 blade head build!

I have this one, bought it from A2pro in france, I have a Trex 500 clone but the problem is that its impossible to fit in the mech in the fuse with the maingear, tried to fit in the mech without the MG but there not room enough
to put it in when the mech is in the place, the solution is to cut in the fuse
in the front in the space betveen the front part and backpart so the mech
can slide in, second issue...when the mech is in the place inside the fuse the space betveen the topedge of the maingear and body is about 2mm, not enough in mine opinion to have a safe flight, the bottom wholes dont match
500 rex, another problem is the lower pushrods to the swashplate are toching the upper part of the fuse, there isnt enough gods on the glassfibre to make space for them, trying to grid down with a dremel results in wholes in the fuse,I took the dremel and cutted away nesseary material to get the swash movin freely but this affected the scale look, today I flewed it for the last time because it just dont feel safe with the maingear so close to the body, ordered a 500 blackhawk from heliartist, gone place the mech in that one as it is trex 500 plug and play, I flewed mine Bell 429 with Sm scalehead
and it did very good, a nice looking machine but in mine opinion not realy
right molded, the real 429 has a wide body compared to the model that
is not wide enough and does give thiner body apperence and also this may be the answer why it is not enough room for the maingear.

A2 pro are mainly selling this one for their excellium series, this could explain the maingear issue

Thanks for the report Jack!

Looking at the photos, it appears that the fuselage was molded for the Excellium 500 ($460 USD).

Notice the size of the Excellium's Main Gear, and Swash servos positioning!
That would explain the issues, that Jack had, fitting a Align Trex 500 into the fuselage.

I think the A2pro fuselages were to be proprietary to their Excellium mechanics

The Blue and Copper and the Red White and Blue bodies are A++

I believe that you may be correct! That's too bad, because I was really interested in getting the 500 size Bell 429.

I already have a new in box HK500, sitting on the shelf in the garage for several months, that I would have used.

Although the Excellium has a Torque Tube driven tail version, it still requires a belt to drive the main shaft.
I would prefer to have a fully belt-less mechanics in the fuselage.

Chinese, is no problem. I use Google Chrome browser, with the language translator plug-in, and it works great.

Which leads to the question...anyone know the ratio range for the mains and tail ratio on the A2Pro mechanics? And if you can just get the airframe minus the head and tail? (Yeah, I'm dreaming on that one I think, lol)
