Question
hobby king donkey

i have the 820 kv h.k. donkey. i got this for an old 40 next star trainer. ill be useing a 2250 4 or 5 cell .
will it fly it? you wound think so but i dont really know what size glow the motor compares to.

only wish the plane i have looked that good,lol. my planes way older.may be a flight star 40.UGLY plane,covered from the factory in contact paper.

just use the plane's AUW against the motor power - i don't think the incremental weight will be enough to change the watts/lb too much.

The Quick AND Dirty method of i.c. to electric is to multiply the glow displacement by 2000 and apply watts.

I.e. a .049 = a out 90 watts
.40=about 800 watts.

Use the Q a D method and be pleasantly surprised by how well the plane flies. The throttle range on an e power biRd is much wider than glow or gas.
