If you are willing to shear info, I would highly appreciate to know a supplier that can make tungsten ballast in these dimensions.

What is the "ownweight" of these tungsten alloys supplied?

Lead is 11,3, tungsten , depending on alloys, all between 15 to above18.

When the tungsten appears I will share the results. I used a friends Fosa slugs, it was essentially double weight, so I am thinking total wing ballast was 55oz. or so. When I find the paperwork, I will forward the information.

Second Pitbull F3F arrived today

Received my new weapon for moderate to severe conditions, the Pitbull F3F, no tow-hook in this buddy

This one is the normal strong 160grams carbon outer wing skin, I left out the 68 grams carbon inner cloth this time, and this had 50 grams glass cloth inner wing skin. That seems to be some difference in weight.

With pre-installed wing servos, Futaba S3172SV high voltage S-BUS, the weight is 1890 grams. I reccon to add approx. 300 grams to this, that should
give approx. AUW at 2190 grams.

Wings = 700 and 700 grams
Joiners 2x70= 140 grams
V-tails 2x36= 76 grams
Fuselage = 275 grams

Seems to be Pitbull no. 32, at least what it is tagged all over with tape.

Also received a Fosa Lift in same Box along With the Pitbull, and picked up a well used Pike Kobra DS at the local model club meeting today, have been flown to 262mph which should meet my demands for years to come.

A happy day today, I must say.....

After some initinal checking I have concluded that Futaba S3150 size servos would be suitable in the Pitbull.

I was afraid the servo shafts would be too high in the fuselage, but it seems okay that it will not conflict any linkage scratching into the fuselage next to the ballast compartment..

A modified servotray were prepared suitable for Futaba S3150 or S3172SV.
Also saved 3mm of lenght in fuselage compared to original servotray, meaning more space for wiring or whatever other equipment desired.

Hi Jan,

I will use 2pce. 18650 cells 3,7V Sony 2250mah Li-Ion made to 7,4V battery package to have the extra power and capacity, weight approx. 95 grams as seen in picture above

http://www.fasttech.com/products/142...echargeable-li

Lead in nose at 102mm, for your model 69 grams with this configuration, you should be able fit that in the nose, if made solid, not using lead beads. I used model clay that is baked in the owen at 120 degree celsisius, stuffing the nose in this mass, to make a mould, then after baked, put aluminium foil inside mould and pour lead.

I have two 1800mah Lipo battery packages that should be suitable, could have one unused package down to you for 200 kroners.

For your receiver, consider removing the plastic cover from it, heat shrink it and place under ballast tube, if too tight, if using two 18650 cells, should free some space, making you able to place the receiver on top of battery, or under depends how you see it.

I ordered some 18650 cells.
Hope that gives me some more room.
My reciever ( Jeti R9 without case) seem to be to big to jam under the ballasttube.

If you are careful, you can do what I do all the time:

Put the nose of the plane in a tub of water, and pour in the correct amount of lead.
Usually this is hard to do with any gear in (i.e., servo tray mounted), so some trial fit and balance has to occur first. And of course a slight underfill is recommended!

BE SURE THAT NO WATER CAN LEAK IN THE NOSE BEFORE YOU POUR IN THE LIQUID LEAD!!!!!
