It does look good, rear mounted servos, sliding electronics tray and a more effective rudder out of the box.

I was actually sniffing around it the other day... it says 4 channels but it is difficult to see if the ailerons are installed in the wing.
bigger wingspan and longer than an easystar but with the same looks.
the nose looks longer.
the shipment price stopped me $49 to the UK. so the price of the plane is effectively doubled. then I thought it might be worth making a $200 order to avoid shipping charges but maybe not this side of Xmas.

Then I thought...I have 2 skywalkers in the shed so why get this one...dunno I cannot resist I guess but this plane really looks interesting.

Yeah shipment is a bit of a killer
If you look closely at the picture you can see ailerons on the wings, one thing though, did they really look at the airfoil on the wings or are they the remnants of the other plane

I am sorry I won't touch Bev.Rc ever again. They provide no warranty or support of any kind.

This has not been the case with me, I had 2 product failures and each time they honoured the warranty with no quibbles. as for the support, granted, some of the answers I had were of the self help kind or did not get answers at all.
I think they have a problem with language.

So far I am happy with this company.

This is not to contradict your experience, I hear some people had problems, but this is a balanced reply.
we are too keen to complain but we don't praise where praise is due

If you would like to make a purchase from BEVRC I'd be happy to take a 2nd (Sirius) from you - I think we are relatively close, Beds/Herts/Bucks, so I'd be happy to drive to you, to collect. How about CASH on collection + my share of postage + a little beer money, for your convenience?

How about a (uk) group buy guys?

Regarding the ailerons - you can see a score line along the back surface where the ailerons hinge in the wing.
Wonder if you could leave the wings intact, no ailerons, then fly this LIKE an Easy Star?? Two less Servos to wire in/extra weight on the model - plus might make it a nice cruiser for FPV.

I came across the Sirius just last night. Looks a nice platform.
Quite similar Wing configuration to an EasyStar, only on a BIGGER scale.

Also it's useful when the fuselage comes in Two halves, like the 10th picture down, so you can route your cabling through the plane, plus make little cutouts etc, for a very tidy FPV build.

Will be watching this one closely. Subscribed.

Found this plane on hobbyking also, under the alias EagleWing.
Clear plastic canopy, plus slightly different accessories included. Linky here:

Everything I've read on the Eagle Wing suggests that it is a dog. Problem seems to be bad wing design. As I recall it was something about insufficient lift, but I haven't read anything in the past 6 months. Maybe opinions have changed with greater familiarity. They often do.

Not the same plane.

I still think they made the vertical stab on the Sirus too small. Every clone or
near clone of the EZ* has made the same mistake. They say they made the rudder
bigger on the Sirus, but that's not really what it needs. I grafted a whole EZG vertical stab
(almost twice the area) onto my EZ* and it makes a world of difference.

Makes a world of difference how?
Does the plane track better with a larger vert stab?

Yes, it tracks better, rolls more axially with ailerons, less likely to tip stall, recovers faster
if you do. Basically can just throw it around. Handles better on glide (less airflow
over the rudder). Here's an old video of my EZ* tearing it up between the trees.
Starts off a little slow, but gets going about 3rd of the way in.
FPV Easystar - Low in the flow (6 min 59 sec)

Didn't use the rudder at all during that flight.
