A very old warbird... With MOVIE!

Believe or not, this is a warbird!

It was used in the first years of WW1 by Austrian-Hungarian Royal and Imperial Navy, to protect Croatian harbours against Italian Caproni bombers raids.
It's the Hansa Brandenburg cc, scratch buildt with simple folded Depron seets for wings, and a classic balsa hull.

Powered by Hacker A30 and 2s1p 2000 mAh LiPoly pack can fly for 15 minutes and over, for best scale apparence I keep one third gas the most of time.

Hi Lucam

I don't know which is better, your awesome plane or where you are flying .
Both are wonderful!

Thanks
Really the plane is very simple... That's because I projected it for aircombat games, and you know, when seven planes tries to cut themselves a paper strip, accidents are very close!

The place is a 5 minutes drive far to my home; it's a small pond near to Como Lake (you know, where a lot of hollywood actors are buying their homes... like George Clooney, for instance). But Como lake in summer time sometimes is too windy for small models, so I prefer this little pond very close to Switzerland.

In this pic, you can better see the landscape; as you can see, now it's winter time, so no floatplane fly... water is too cold for an emergency recover

Sorry, I have not plans. I cutted it straight on the balsa sheets, but really it is so simple you do not need any plans.

Dimension are:

scale 1:8

106 cm upper wingspan
100 cm lower winspan
fuselage lenght 110 cm (with rudder)

weight is 1200 grams (heavy, but you need lots of lead for balance)
Engine Hacker a 30 M
prop 10x4.7

For plans, I used this poor quality, lo-res three views I found in this Russian site:

http://www.airwar.ru/enc/flyboat/hbcc.html

maybe you can find something better browsing the Internet.

Superb model Lucam!!!..........

Great pictures, and super location.....

I saw a full size warbird that is very near the same as the Hansa Brandenburg in the Italian Air Force Museum, at de Vigna Di Valle, just north of Rome.
I took a couple of pictures of the Lohner L.127, which was a licence built machine from Jacob Lohner.

Fantastic museum, If your anywhere near Bracchiano(big lake, you can't miss it!!) do go.Lovely setting, and for float/seaplane model flying.......nearest thing to perfect!!..
