Good flying crowd

Attracted quite a crowd today. Only got a few in frame at a time. By the time I was out of batteries had 15 or 20 flying buddies! (SK Lazy Hawk ornithopter)

Sorry to be too picky ... isn't this a 2 X 6 ? the HOB 2 X 4 is a smaller model. see this pic.

IHAVAWDY: That's a HOB 2X6. (Unless HOB has a 4' WS version of the 2x6). I thermal all the time with mine. Good flyer but a bit fragile where the tail boom meets the empenage. Broke it there serveral times until my flying skills improved.

Copy that... my bad. It was thirty + years ago! LOL. I musta forgot. Yeah, it was heavier than a two-by-four. Two-by- six, or maybe a two-by ten? In all fairness I did add a landing wheel to it. It would roll like hell down the golf coarse fairway where I flew. Even in the early beginnings of my building career I couldn't build them stock... Also I don't think I knew anything about CofG back in those days... I'm sure it was over-Leaded.
