Tim,

The footage of your Nieuport was great to see! Flys great.

Question for ya, did you change the incident of the tail? I believe most guys recommend adding a degree or so of negative to the elevator's stab when attaching it to the fuselage.

Thanks in advance,

I didn't get to mount the wings today, as I had planned last week. I had some other stuff to do!

If memory serves me correct I added a bit of positive to my build. Nice build I had a great time building mine and it flies great.

I wrote negative but meant positive...

Do you have a close up shot of the flying / landing wire connection point at the wings?

Thanks mike.

I used Proctor turnbuckles and made my own brass attachment points. Here's a few pictures to give you a idea how I did it. I did put hard points in the wing and fuse for the homemade points. I used twine to get everything lined up. It's been some time since I finished mine. Glad I documented the build now. Hope this helps.

Mike, is your Nieuport 28 1/4 scale or 1/3 scale. Beautiful airplane.

Thanks for the compliment. It's 1/4 scale. I'm looking at their SE5 right now for this years build.

SDP,

Look like you've had a busy weekend!

No, I didn't alter the incidence on the tailplane, although I do fly it with a click or two of down trim. Nothing to write home about though.

Thanks Tim... I think I'll just leave it alone. Probably wouldn't hurt to modify it but if it was needed I figure Balsa USA would have done that.

Still too busy to build. Weather had been so nice outside and there are lots of flying events going on.

"Pulverizer" tried to pulverize me today. Pilot didn't add enough right rudder and this one ate the fence. Plane was about 50 lbs. Bent two of the poles and sheered one off at the base.

I was standing right where the plane was but when I saw it starting to veer left I ran out of the way.

I had a nice adrenaline rush after that one.

(That's me in the photo if you haven't figured it out)

The latter two photos are mine, the last one is the plane just before I saw it starting to go left in takeoff. Too busy running to get more actions shots, unless I want to be the action.

Thanks for the pics.
Mosquito is impressive. Off hand, how was it powered and how large is it?

Beautiful birds guys. Really impressed with the work. SunDevil how the heck do you keep your work area so clean? When I've built balsa it looks like a balsa bomb went off. Not sure I could ever do a build thread.

Thinking about building a WWI bird and was wondering what you guys recommend. I know about Manzano but isn't balsa USA out of business? What I'd really like to do is a 50-60" observation plane like a Rumpler or such if it exist.

Regards,
Alan
