So your 6 motors will have to lift 583g per motor. And the T-motor only have a lift of 645g per motor at 50%. So I would be looking at a system that could life at least 1000g plus per motor at 50% throttle. But that's up to you and I would check other folks on this forum and see what they are running.

you dont need double thust at 50%, you need to hover at 50% throttle.

Yes but you also need the thrust to lift that weight at 50% also. If you had a hexa where each motors had to lift 500g and the motors would only lift 500g your time in the air would really be short that is if you could even get into the air

It think you are a little confused. If you did not have about 583g for 50% thrust it would not be hovering. The motors have 1200g of thrust at max so they are doing exactly what you want. You don't want a craft the hovers at 20% thrust. You want it to hover at 50%, which means this would be hovering at something less than 50% already. If the craft had 1100g of thrust at 50% it would be launched into outer space at 50% throttle. 50% thrust at hover means it just overcomes the weight of the machine. So at 3000g AUW it takes 500g to cause it to float or hover.

The last thing you want is to be way over-powered and have excess weight in big motors that you never use. Right? Maybe for a 250 class rocketship but not for an AP rig.

At 3000g this needs 500g of thrust per motor to hover and it has more than that at 50% throttle. 50% throttle, not flat out. Flat out it has 1200g per motor right? So it has more than 50% in reserve.

Yeah we recover it, after a kind of expedition in the woods as you can see, we have to make rapel and i end up with a rock in my head, telemetry give us the coordinates and google maps help us to get to the exact point, we have to tear down the three to get the chopper ...after i review the logs i find out that all was my fault, i never fly it over 8 minutes and i get overconfident ... now i know that the 10.40m its the battery limit with this configuration
