DIY Throw measuring tool
Recently I needed to measure the control surface throw of my last model, unsatisfied using a ruler, I made some google search and I discovered a well known tool made from a cloth pin and a protractor. From the specifications and a prototype I made, it came out too heavy for our foamy planes.
So I did a new simple and light tool made from scraps.
I plied a still wire about 11 inch length to make it a spring clamp, than I attached to it a simple cardboard protractor with a pendulum.
It took very short time to assemble it. it is simple to use and very light weight.
Hope you enjoy.
