Custom Cockpits

Could anyone tell me the best place to get custom cockpits? I have a Freewing F-86 80mm that could use one.

Thanks,

you might be on your own here! HK used to have a fairly nice one some time back-- but no more.
Here's some pics of one should you build your own- http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...ures&FORM=IGRE

Right, it's not that hard to make your own.
And I've found that mass produced parts usually need to be modified to make them work anyway so I just build them.

Below is the not-so-scale cockpit I made for my F-9F Cougar.
Some bits of balsa and foam for the seat. Sewing pins for levers and buttons, a resistor for the throttle handle.
Print gauges off the inter-web. Cover the top with clear packing tape, the back with double stick tape and cut them out with scissors or exacto.
The curved dash is from the top edge of a Solo cup.

I used to have a print out file of a nice ejection seat made of folded paper.
Need to look around again for that.

Boogie_ is correct-
The biggest issue will be finding the right sized scale pilot- bust or full size. based on WS, The FW F-86 , is 1/9.42 give or take. My Flyfly F-86 is 1/8.0
I just like bigger planes!

http://centuryjet.com/scale-rc-pilot...-sizing-chart/ has some pretty nice pilot figures --you just need to decide if your going 1/10'th , or 1/9th scale with your cockpit.

There's also a nice selection of pilot busts (made by yours truly ) available from my folks at jethangar.com. Scales range from 1/18 to as large as 1/6 scale. Most are in the 1/12 to 1/8 scale range though along with a 1/10 scale full body pilot.
