Quadcopter Lifts off unevenly

Built a new copter, here's what I got:

550 wide quad frame
Turnigy 950 KV motors
Afro 30 A ESC's
Arducopter 2.6
Turnigy 9X Transmitter / Receiver
------------------------------
Installed latest firmware. Went thru entire Mission Planner setup wizard... calibrated GPS, compass, radio transmitter, etc.

When copter starts to take off, one side of the copter starts to tip over and then if I give it enough throttle it will pick up and finally get airborne.

When running in LOITER, seems to hover pretty stable. But then again the LOITER feature is probably compensating for some of the motors.

Is this an APM issue? ESC issue?

Fix?

Gyro doesn't work properly when it's on the ground. Just get it up in the air as quickly as possible when you take off.

Have you double checked your ESC calibration?

ESC, Gyro and/or accel calibration most likely. Or the CG is off.

You need to check all of the above, but I'd wager getting into the air quickly is the key.

FWIW, flybarless helis do the same thing if you sit on the ground too long...

This sounds like you have a center of gravity problem. One side is too heavy. Have you checked that it is balanced, weightwise? You can confirm this by enabling motor logging and checking that. Some motors will be working harder in a stable hover.

My motors are spinning up unevenly. Throttle goes from 0 to superfast with one motor not even turning until the throttle goes way up. Have tried both the "All at once" and the "Individual" calibration several times. For instance, when calibrating using "All at once", I go thru the procedure and when done, the motors spin up super nice with 0 throttle on the stick they don't spin. But when giving it some gas, everything is super linear as the stick goes up.

Then I unplug the power to exit calibration mode, plug battery back in to test and I'm back to motors not moving on 0 stick and when I give a slight amount of gas, the motors shoot up to super fast with no gradual climb with motor 3 not even spinning.

In Mission Planner my THR_MIN setting is 130 but when I change it to either end of its settings, seems to make no difference. I notice that the ESC's are not beeping like the APM specs say they should... just figured that was indicative of the Afro 30A versions.

Any help is super appreciated.

Have you tried calibrating them one at a time with the receiver only? (directly, with FC set to the side)
This can help determine if you escs are acting correctly.

When you power off the Quad after you calibrate the ESCs to the radio, either leave the radio on, or turn the radio on FIRST and then power up the quad.

ALWAYS turn the transmitter ON first, then power up the aircraft. When you shut down, you power off the aircraft and then turn the radio off.

Your escs and motors are fine I would say. The issue seems to be your gyro/accel calibration. I cannot see your HUD display in the video. Is it level when the quad is level? When you move the quad around is the HUD display moving appropriately? Have you got your flight controller orientation parameters correct? At a given throttle when the one motor is not spinning can you make it spin by moving the quad so that that motor is lower than the others? This will quickly tell you.

I'm thinkin' its the order he is shutting down after the ESC calibration... NEVER turn the TX off before powering down the aircraft...

Maybe check your minthrottle or mincheck. I don't have ardu fc but I do check them on Acro Naze board.

No that's not the issue. Tried using your suggestion but still have the same problem.
