You might want to take a look at the MACK water tight stuffing boxes. Never need oiling once installed in the boat. www.mackproductsrc.com

Octura Bushings
How do you keep the Octura Bushings in place in the brass stuffing tube (solder)?
Is the Octura bushing flush with the tube or does it stick out a bit? I've made a stuffing box before using smaller brass tubes as bushing but I'm going to use Stainless steel shafts this time around. I'm making two stuffing box for the Lindberg Fisherman. Thanks!! |
