Looking to put my 450 size mechanics in a scale Fuselage. Preferably an AH1 Cora, but an apache would be OK as well. Ay suggestions on a decent fuselage at a decent price? And/or a good source to buy scale fuselage?

For a 450 the first place I'd look is darth's.

On the menu on the left side you'll 450 size and 450 size page 2.

both of the ones you want are not for starting out in scale as they both need a raised tail
imo take a look at a MD500 or some other heli that doesnt need modded frames frist

In general I would agree, but it is completely depending on OP's mechanical and building skills, and I have seen multiple examples of people using a raised tail heli as first scale project and getting it right without too much hassle.

If you are not the most talented mechanic or builder, however, I would indeed strongly advise against the raised tail models....

Heli builder, not so much experience, but, ive been building and flying planes since I was 6...near 30 years now, including warbirds, old school glow ducted fan, EDF, and now turbines...a raised tail doesn't intimidated me aside from sourcing the parts to do it :-)

If that's the case: go ahead....

btw if you want a REALLY nice AH-1 a T-rex500 might be the way to go with the Align AH-1 kit for it

Yeah - I hate that. I've been flying planks about that long as well.
My first radio didn't even have a gold sticker on it. We did "kit bashing" to convert a Bonanza into a V-tail had to build mechanical mixing trays 'cause there was no such thing as a computer radio that did mixing.

But there seems to be that direct correlation between post count and IQ that's holding us back.

Oryon have taken a look at that Align AH-1 kit?

Yea that thing is gorgeous, but I was hoping to use my 450 that I already have, rather than building a new heli too.. plus its kind of a guinea pig for multi blade rotor etc for me. Im thinking I'll do a " stand off scale" type setup with the 450 and a darthdark fuselage, experiment a bit, then build the align AH1...
