I finally got to unpack the box this morning, it was well packaged in a thick box,It is a very nice Kit indeed compared to what you got in the original one.
This plane is the revised version the whole fuse is now molded in two half and joined together, with plenty carbon on the side of the fuse for stiffness.servo tray, battery tray, wing bolts etc,and everything else is done, you get a carbon fiber spinner with aluminum backing plate the hatch is pre fitted,it's 70% built all you have to do is glue the horizontal stab, fit the servos & linkages make motor mount, fit motor, esc I also like the position of the wing servos so the aileron horn is positioned in the middle of the aileron, the servo covers where missing but they are on their way
I'm going to use Eflight electric 90-120 retract units and fit the legs on them, i tried one from a friends kit they will fit with minor work
There is plenty of room for lipos in there 10s 12s setups if you wanted to
I have two setups in mind for this plane, to maiden i will run High kv outrunner on 6s 10x10 or 11x10 prop and later HyperionHS-4035-500kv on 10/12s should be able to squeeze 4000watts in short bursts from the setup see how fast this baby can go
The NXT is a HotRod, beautiful plane I hope it will fly as good as it looks
here are a few pics i will post more when i start the build

This is where i purchased the plane from, in NZ Jim is a great guy to deal with

I'm jealous Adrian. That proposed setup sounds perfect! That's about what I would put in so I look forward to your maiden report. By the way....you look sick...I think you need to call your employer and tell him you're not feeling well until your plane gets done.

Hi Erik I know that you looked at this plane in the other forum like i did I'm glad that i held back till now, this new version of the plane is so much better the fuse much stiffer, two piece now to 3 piece before then you had to glue the nose in etc.
yes i like this version much better and really it's as close as you will get to any Arf kit
The fuse is really wide 150mm at it's narrowest part, with the 10s lipos from my SD50 makes them look really small
For the HV setup i will now go with 12s 2x Nanotech 5000mAh 6s 35-70c they will be good for 175 amps continuous, and the 6s setup i will use my 2 1/2+ year old Hyperion G3 2 x 5500mAh 35-65c 3s in series they still have plenty of juice in them and balance up a treat

There s plenty of room on the bottom tray for Esc's, Atlas 180Amp 26V and 130Amp 50V HV 6 & 12s setups.
I'm going to water cut a new battery tray from 2 mm carbon plate to accomodate my batterys configuration, the original tray is fine for a 6s setup using lipos around 137mm long x 53mm wide,my lipos will run longways on the new tray
The best thing about this plane is the amount of working room you have in the plane with the hatch off you have an openig of 500mm long x 150mm wide

Thanks for the extra info Adrian.
I knew that fuselage was fat from the pictures but wow!
Should be a really easy install once the cg is right.
Glad to hear the plane has been improved. I didn't know they changed it.

Mark.....you're right I'm trying hard not to do it.
Erik

Oh yea, Adrian can you snap a photo of the airfoil for us?
Thanks!

Very nice plane Adrian!
This is one of the few "BIG" planes that can fly with the speed of an F5D ship.
