Chap20277, Welcome to "The Ezone"!

It would really help us to answer your question if you gave us some more information on the plane. It isn't one that I'm familiar with anyway.

Some of the things that are helpful when doing a conversion are:

* amount of money you're willing to spend
* wing span
* wing area
* empty weight of airframe
* advertised flying weight
* recommended alternative (glow engine) engine size

* a picture of the plane and/or the website would be nice also

These will help to narrow down the motor size and battery packs when advice is dispenced. Here is a little something that helped me out tremendously. It's a combination of "Shaws" and "Ormes" Laws.

Engine to Cell conversion

0.15 7 8 Cell

0.25 10 14 Cell

0.40 16 20 Cell

0.60 24 28 Cell

Number of Cells/sq-in wing span

High Wing Trainer 1 Cell/50 sq-in

Aerobatic plane 1 cell/35 sq-in

Power by Weight

High Wing Trainer 50 Watts/1 Lb

Mildly Aerobatic 70 Watts/1 Lb

Severe Aerobatic 100 Watts/1 Lb

If this were my plane I'd go for the upper end of the power chain. I like the "Tim Allen" theory so my plane would be in the 100+ = watts/lb range
