Nah, I soldered it into my micro LOSI SCT and I'm not prepared to pull it out.

HK-2, does that mean it's 2ch only? If so the telebee is probably the best bet, but I think the turnigy one would still work without heading hold. You just plug the gyro into the steering ch, and plug the servo into the gyro. Both the Telebee and Turnigy have an extra plug for the 3rd ch (Telebee: dual rates, Turnigy: heading hold) but you don't need to plug it in.

The bad news is that I broke a front lower arm, rear upper link, stripped the rear diff and lost a pin from the center drive shaft

The front arm and rear link were broken from a bad landing from a big air jump. Then I lost the drive shaft pin and I was down to RWD (which I should add is completely undriveable on loose surfaces). After the pin fell out and I only had RWD I thought "bugger it" and started doing some full throttle donuts to see it the $4 spur would fail, but the rear diff failed instead
So far my pins have not come out with the shrink tubing mod I did.

I might have to try it, but how does the tubing hold up? Have you needed to replace it yet?

Not yet. Make sure the tubing covers the entire shaft head

Go to "My Media Dump" on the first page of this thread, scroll down to the bottom of the post and there is a PDF of the chassis including screw holes (it's traced from my chassis). Print it out and measure what you need.

The center shaft is 136mm long, the end without a pin is 5mm wide, and with the pin it is 9mm wide.

Turnigy Mini Trooper 1/16 Rear Diff Fail (1 min 26 sec)

Also let me know if it doesn't play, youtube has matched my 3rd party content

However if you use 3ch electronics this gyro should be better because it has heading hold too:

Turnigy Head Lock & Standard Gyro (Digital/Analog)

Yeah, I'm thinking to install it to my mini trooper
Gyro is gaining popular on drift car too
However I broke my front and rear diff lol, so much bashing gonna buy some new set of gear diff. I don't know if compatible with kyosho mini inferno, I will checked first.

Is this normal?

Me too, for short term I just fill the shock oil, saving my money to buy GPM racing shocks

I'm 100% sure that the gears will fit, and 90% sure that the aluminium diff case will fit.

I spoke too soon today I stripped a $4 spur before I could even get my camera out Seriously I got less than a minute run time; I drove a few meters forwards did a U-turn and that was it (I wasn't even driving it that hard). THIS IS GETTING BEYOND A FING JOKE!!!!!

Haha, I like my mini trooper but the parts seems to be easy for wear and tear. Thats the downside of this model.

All of the parts I have broken to date have been completely my fault (bad landings from big air jumps, hitting rocks, tree roots and a skatepark wall at full speed). However there is no excuse for these flamin' spur gears. I want to get a metal spur from Sour41 but he is so hard to get in contact with
