Anyone know any good way to make or buy some quality aileron hinges?

I have always used Dubro hinges when I want a high quality low friction hinge. I have used them for many years and have never had a problem.

I use pin or CA type. Don't like the "bendy" plastic stuff. And tape, Blenderm, is OK, but overall I don't trust tape style.

hinges

I don't know how this works on larger planes but on my Playmate, since the hinges take such a beating when radio interference nose dives the thing in ground/brushes/trees metal racks etc. I made some quick hinges using that old fashioned "white bandage tape". 3/4 in. was used and the glue was common and put over the one side still sticky.

Radio South are the best ca hinges I have come across. You can buy in a roll and cut to your size needed or just buy the hinge pre cut.

I have found that of the many different CA hinges I have used, the Radio South are the ones I prefer to use.
They are thin so cutting the slot with a #11 is simple, they insert well into the slot, seem to accept the CA extremely well, and I have never seen one tear or fail.

For tailor made advice, it would be handy to know what the model is made of, as well as the size, weight flight envelope and intended hinge position: Each of the abovementioned (as well as other types not mentioned) have their applications, but may not be ideally suited to your particular project.
