I like the design qualities of a plane called the Wing Dragon from Artech.
Some of the things that are good about the plane are:
- its a push prop
- It is has ailerons (optional)
That prompted this attempt at building a foamy version of the plane.
It uses a monoblock for the fuselage and is a first attempt at creating a wing with folding the foam over on itself.
Wing is 40 1/2" with 9" LE to TE. The aileron's are cut 1 1/2" into that 9 inches.
The foam section of the fuse is 15" front to back and made of 10 pieces glued together.
The boom portion is 19". Two inches will be burried into the fuse. I used a carbon arrow shaft.
The elevator will be placed 13" from the rear of the fuse.
