Question
extended center section

I was looking at the Superfly website and noticed they have an option for extended center section. What does this do? Does adding a center section affect stability? Does a bigger center section increase stability?

It shouldn't affect stability either way, ideally. As always it depends on what is done with thesace. Does it have a surface that provides lift, then it might be beneficial as larger wingspan does provide more autostability.

The superfly people tell me a small center section it is good for beginners because it blunts the nose so it crashes better.

Just curious about something more general. There are not many recent superfly threads. There were a bunch a few years back. Is some other wing now more popular?

I've noticed the same, but the interest in wings seems to come and go in waves. Where I live the Swifts are quite popular, even when they are hard to get.

I've got the small center section. I like it because it makes the SF even more smooth and floaty.
