Sbach electronics into Sukhoi?

I have an SU26XP Sukhoi. I replaced the motor on Sunday, it's on the way out again.

about 2 1/2 hours on it, flying at work breaks, babied it for 3 days first. Will Sbach esc/receiver and 2 servos fit in there?

I was just playing around with a Sukhoi (doing other things than you propose), but I'd guess that the equipment can be made to fit, but that you will have a plane that will be so hot you'd better be one good pilot to keep it in control.

What did you do to your Sukhoi? I have an Sbach now and can fly it safely, and still want to fly the Sukhoi as it is lighter if landed firmly

I have an original version Sukhoi. The elevator was smashed up so I made a new one from foam sheet. Then I replaced the motor with a P-51, the prop with a 5030. I made the hatch to be attached magnetically and added washout to the wings. Also did a cosmetic makeover and plan to mount the battery internally. I also made a balancing jig.

Its quite a lot of work, but it could be done. Its not recommended because the sukhoi is not stiff enough to withstand the forces that the brushless power puts on the airframe. Plus the wing loading will be much higher, to the point that it will not slow down anymore. Every crash breaks something as well. If you do it add CF to the wing.
